Questions

The things people ask first.

Is a virtual office address legal for company registration in India?

Yes. The Companies Act requires a company to have a registered office capable of receiving communications — it does not require you to own or physically occupy it. Registering at premises held under a licence from the person entitled to grant it is ordinary practice. What matters is that the paperwork behind the address is sound, which is why we hand over the lease, the owner's consent and the bills rather than just a letter.

Will my GST registration definitely be approved?

We can't promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. The decision rests with the officer reviewing your application, and it turns on your whole file — not only the address. What we can do is give you a complete, consistent, correctly dated document set so the address is not the reason for a query. If a clarification is raised on the address, we help you answer it.

What happens if a GST officer visits the premises?

Physical verification does happen. When it does, your own director, partner or authorised signatory needs to be present — that is what the department expects, and we can't stand in for you. What we do is open the premises, produce the lease, the NOCs and the bills, show your name on the nameboard, and confirm your agreement is live. We give you as much notice as we get.

I sell on Amazon or Flipkart. Does this solve my GST problem?

Only if the state you need is Jharkhand. Sellers need a GSTIN in each state where their stock is stored, so the address has to be in that state — a Jharkhand address does not help you register in Karnataka or Haryana. Message us with the state you're actually trying to register in and we'll tell you plainly whether this works for you.

Do you help with the registration itself, or only the address?

Both, but they're separate things. The plan on this page covers the address and its document set. Incorporation, GST filing and related compliance work is something I do as a Chartered Accountant — if you want that handled too, message me on WhatsApp and I'll quote for it.

What can I not use the address for?

It cannot be used as a residential address, or for storing, receiving or dispatching goods, inventory or stock. No manufacturing, warehousing or retail activity. And it cannot be used to conceal who is behind a business. We ask every client for identity documents and a signed undertaking, and we do turn people away.

What happens when I stop using the address?

You have thirty days from the end of the term to change your registered office and place of business with the MCA, the GST authorities and anyone else who holds the address on record, and to take it off your letterheads and website. Once you show us that's done, the security deposit comes back in full. If it isn't done, the deposit is forfeited and we're obliged to inform the authorities that you're no longer authorised to use the address.

Can I visit or use it as a workspace?

You're welcome to come by during working hours with an appointment — it's your registered address and you should see it. It isn't a co-working space, though, and there's no desk or meeting room booking on offer.
